You’d think that with a name like English Breakfast Tea, the tea blend would be strictly made to accompany breakfast. While it is true that this tea would complement a complete breakfast layout beautifully, there’s no compulsion to stick to drinking it with breakfast. The blend is a real ‘wake me up’, which is useful for when you’re starting your day, but you can sip on a cup of this beverage at any time you require a quick refresh of your mental state.
We love our tea with food, usually during tea time, but have you tried a cup of tea with a full meal?
If you haven’t, it can be quite life changing.
What kind of foods can you pair English Breakfast Tea with?
Since this blend is essentially black tea, it has a more pronounced flavour and aroma. This works like a dream with foods that are similar in terms of flavour. Rich meaty meals are great to down with English Breakfast Tea. Indian dishes, so full of life with the variety of spices and rich ingredients, or even the traditional English breakfast go very well with this blend.
It’s not necessary to pair your tea with only a full meal or high tea nibbles. Desserts and even cheese are a highly recommended option with black tea.
Milk or No Milk?
This is probably the best part about English Breakfast Tea. Since it’s a black tea, it can be had with or without milk. Either way, it’ll still retain its rich and robust flavour. If tea is your beverage with something to eat, especially at tea time, adding a splash of milk to your tea would make it more enjoyable. But if it’s going to be your morning tea, we’d say it’s better to be healthy, wealthy and wise, and go for a nice cup of black tea with a dash or a spoon of organic honey.
