#1: Make Your Own Fertilizer With Brewed Tea Leaves
As we know that teas are rich in tannic acid which makes it a great nutrient for not just us but also for our plants. One of the teas that is rich in tannic acid is Black Tea. The brewed tea leaves help in healthy growth of the plants plus they also act as an insect/bug repellent. It also helps keep rats away and from other fungal infections that plants may be affected by. As tea is highly acidic in nature, it adds nutrition to the compost which also helps speed up the process of decomposition. Take some brewed tea-leaves and add them to the potting soil, near the roots. You can also add brewed tea-leaves to the compost and get yourself an acid-rich, nourishing compost. Additionally, add steep brewed tea bags in hot water and then pour the tea in a spray bottle.
#2: Use Them To Clean Your Carpets
Cleaning carpets is a tedious process and sometimes quite expensive too. If you are tired of finding ways to clean your rugs and carpets, we have an eco-friendly solution for you. All you have to do is sun dry the brewed tea leaves on a tray or plate and once it is sun-dried, mix it with 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda to achieve a powdery mixture. #3: Relieve tired and puffy eyes
With more time spent looking at screens, be it your laptop, mobile phone or TV, your eyes are the most affected. They look tired, thus resulting in puffy eyes with dark circles. One of the most budget friendly and effective solutions is to reuse brewed tea leaves. You can use any type of tea for this, but we recommend that you use black and green tea as they are highly rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Take the tea leaves and make into a small ball and press them on your palms. Keep them in the refrigerator and take them when they cool but haven’t lost their moisture. Place them under your eyes and rest for 15-20 minutes. Remove and wash with water. You can also brew the used tea leaves and freeze them into ice-cubes and rub it around your eyes. Do this three or four times in a week for visible results.

With an abundance of essential nutrients and antioxidants, tea is great both for your body and hair. A lot of brands use tea as an ingredient while making their beauty products. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is effective on minor cuts as well as sunburn. Enjoy a long bath with a detoxifying tea bath with brewed tea. Use teas such as green tea, oolong tea or herbal teas like chamomile and mint for a spa-like bath experience. Just drop the brewed tea in a tub or a bucket and let them soak for a while in warm water. Add some drops of your favourite salt or essential oil and indulge yourself in a relaxing bath time.
#5: Use Brewed Tea Leaves To Clean Glass And Wooden Furniture
Brewed tea leaves is a very effective and natural cleaning solution for wooden furniture, mirrors and glass surfaces. To clean and polish wooden furniture, take some brewed tea leaves and let them boil in 500 ml of water for 2 minutes. Once the tea cools down, dip a clean cloth and clean the wooden furniture in circular motions. This helps in removing the dirt and also forms a protective film. Once done, polish the same area with a dry cloth. Now for mirrors and glass surfaces, use brewed tea leaves and once again brew a strong pot of tea. Let it cool down to room temperature and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray this tea solution on the glass surface and wipe it off with a cloth. After this, clean the surface with a separate dry cloth for the perfect sparkly shine. Plus, you can also clean your sink with this.
